Three on the board
Three plays are locked for today, and the shape of the card tells you something about how we're approaching this slate. Two moneylines and one spread. No totals. That isn't a philosophy, it's just where the week's work landed.
Tennessee at Baltimore and Miami at Minnesota are both straight-up plays. When you go to the moneyline instead of laying or taking points, you're saying the outcome matters more to you than the margin, and that you'd rather not have a late possession decide a bet you got right for three hours. Some weeks the number isn't worth fighting. These are those spots.
Denver at San Francisco is the spread play on the card. Different question entirely. There you're buying into how the game gets managed in the second half, who's dictating tempo, which side is comfortable playing from where it ends up sitting.
The practical note: these lines have been moving all week and they're still moving now. Early money, late money, information that trickles out in the hours before kickoff. That's normal. It also means the number sitting in front of you this morning is not necessarily the number that was there when the play went in, and it won't be what's there at kick. Shop it. If your book is a half-step behind the market in the direction you need, take it.
