What CleverBet is
CleverBet is a sports betting picks SaaS. The engine ("Slick") scans 13+ US sportsbooks every morning. It de-vigs the sharpest anchor on the slate — Pinnacle when available, LowVig or BetOnline as fallback — to back into a true probability. When a soft book is quoting a worse number than that true price, that gap is the play.
For PGA we use Data Golf Pro Plus. Their model output IS the true probability — no de-vig math needed. Same value-finding loop, sharper input.
Why the public ledger matters
Every pick grades against the ESPN final. Wins, losses, units, ROI, all visible at /history. Filter by sport, result, confidence, and scope. No edits, no cherry picks. Click any row to verify against the box score.
Backtested record (Sep 2024 → Apr 2025) is labelled as a backtest in plain language on the ledger. We did not post those calls publicly before the games. Live picks begin May 9, 2026.
How Slick reads the market
Tuesday is when lines open soft. Sharp money hits before mid-week and tightens the spread. Best EV window: now through Wednesday for the upcoming Sunday slate.
The engine watches every soft-book line against the sharp anchor. When a soft book drifts more than 3% off, that's the play. 1u plays don't ship (no fluff). 2u plays require EV ≥ 3%. 3u plays require EV ≥ 5%. Max 5 props or SGPs per day. PGA caps at 10 plays per tournament, deduped by player.
